Best read of 2018
I can't believe my luck that I got an early copy of a Diane Chamberlain book. I didn't even read the synopsis before diving in. That turned out to be a really good decision as this was unlike any book by her I read before.
When Carly Sears received the news that her unborn baby girl has a heart defect that will likely kill her she is devastated. It is 1970 and there is not much you can do but cry. Then her brother-in-law Hunter tells her that perhaps he can help. Before Carly knows it, she is off on a crazy adventure to save her baby girl.
This novel was pull at your heart strings, stay up all night kind of book and I devoured every single second of it. Sometimes I couldn't believe I was reading what the story was telling me but I still clung on to hope for the characters going through some of the worst things humans have to go through in life.
By far one of my favorite 2018 reads.
