Diane Chamberlain has been a favorite author of mine for a while. This brilliant book is a reminder of why that is true. Many authors write the same basic stories changing characters or circumstances slightly. But Diane reinvents herself with each new book. While I've never been a fan of time travel books, this one is so unique and well written, I really enjoyed it. As a reader, you get to visit several different times in history and envision what it would be like to live in that time. I think the book also demonstrated how traveling back in time could alter the future and the dangers of trying to change anything. It was a very clever plot, one that really gets you thinking on many different levels. Add it to your TBR list, you won't be disappointed.
