This book sounds like it combines quite a few elements that I enjoy in books that I read - a strong, compelling story about a mom and her love for her child; a medical storyline that ties into this; a little bit of mystery about this man named Hunter. As long as I enjoy the character development and writing style, this sounds like a story I would enjoy.
I like how the cover itself adds to the sense of mystery - the reflection includes a little girl who isn't present beside the figure on the shoreline. Is the little girl gone, as in she has passed away? Was she never born, but is always with the mom in her heart and imaginings? Has she grown and moved on to lead her own life?
I've never heard of this author, or read any of her work, so I am basing my projected enjoyment of the book solely on what is provided here.
