My first impression is really good. I like the way the book is written, and I would assume that suspense will be built up gently. The sample text did not go into the story that is summarized in the blurb, but the reader gets to meet Hunter, who seems to become an essential part of the story.
I felt the story was really touching, and it was clear to see that there is a special non-romantic bond between Carly and Hunter. Can't wait to find out what Hunter will suggest to save Carly's daughter's life.
