In the first look, we are introduced to Carly, a young physical therapist, and see her first interaction with an eccentric patient, Hunter Poole, who's depressed and has a strong, favorable reaction to meeting Carly. The first look ends with Carly offering to introduce Hunter to her sister. From the synopsis of the book, we know that in the future, Carly will be pregnant and learn that her baby has a heart defect and that Hunter will present some interesting solutions for the baby's heart. I'm intrigued to learn more about Hunter's relationship with Carly, her sister, and his background, as well as the role he's about to play in "healing" the baby.
