A first impression of a literal first impression

Ok, I'm going to admit that I've never read any of Chamberlain's work before...not that I haven't been interested, I've just never picked up one of her books. And if that synopsis and sneak peak are predicative of her entire catalog, I will definitely be added this book (and others) to my TBR pile. Her writing style reminds me of Jodi Picoult, one of my all-time favorite writers. The cover is beautiful and the title is so intriguing, I'm really interested in the rest.
