I love the premise of this book. Who would you invite to dinner if you could have any 5 people. The premise is shown through a dinner party. Each character has their own story that you get invested in. You find yourself laughing, crying, and even feeling embarrassed for the characters. With each chapter you become more and more invested in the narrative.
I really enjoyed the way the author made you think who you would invite. And how they would all interact with each other. Would it be a disaster or a fantastic learning evening? I think by the end we all have an idea of how we would go about a dinner party just like this.
This is perfect for almost any reader. It's thoughtful, funny, and enjoyable.
