I recently won a copy of The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle from BookishFirst. I loved this book! Of course you have to suspend reality but the concept of inviting anyone at all to your birthday dinner is probably something we all wish we could do. Oh yes, the five guests could be living or dead, friends or family, or someone famous from many years ago. A special person you needed to see one last time? Then this book is definitely for you. It would be perfect for bookclubs. After reading the novel suggest they bring along their own list. The number five has special significance to the heroine Sabrina and her boyfriend Tobias. She also chooses Audrey Hepburn, a college professor, her father and her best friend Jessica who arranges the dinner. The author alternates the story of Sabrina with the party. So intriguing to discover how her guests affected her life and even more to find out who was alive or dead at the end. Such a clever idea and so well written.
