So we all know who Audrey is but who are the others? I suppose this is what the story will be about as we gradually get to know these characters and why they were chosen as her 5....at 19 years old. It's an appealing concept, however, the excerpt was very short. I could not tell if this was going to be YA or some chick lit, or both. I would probably stick with the story to find out the magical realism element but after this brief excerpt I'm not really drawn in. It appears to be geared towards a younger reader, maybe about 10 years out of college. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not going to appeal to me. The book has been getting a lot of attention and some good reviews. The cover caught my eye on several occasions.
