I love this concept and enjoyed the first excerpt! Audrey Hepburn coming for dinner + Being reunited with important people in the narrator’s life + sexy love at first sight flashback + a friend with creative activities to do together = an intriguing start!
I sometimes have a hard time getting in to books with magical realism or fantasy but this is so down to earth and relatable that I think I will really enjoy it!
It reminds me a little bit of Landline by Rainbow Rowell or even Outlander by Diana Gabaldon in that it’s a romance book but there’s an added layer of speculative fiction or fantasy because there’s a little bit of magic. Fans of the TV show The Good Place might also be interested in this one. I look forward to reading more!
