I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of The Dinner List in a giveaway. Considering some of the events in this book, saying it was a fun read seems somewhat irresponsible, but the truth is, it was fun. It's such an interesting presentation of the idea of having dinner with any five people, living or dead. It's funny and heartbreaking and frustrating. It will make you stop and think about your own dinner list and wonder if the first people you think of are really the right choices. There were some surprises along the way, none that I want to spoil, so suffice to say the dinner definitely didn't go as I originally thought it was going to, and for that, I'm very thankful. For someone who thrives on the dark and twisty, this book was a great break for me. Serle's writing style is also really enjoyable. There are two primary timelines running through the book, which will eventually give you all the backstory you need as you navigate the dinner with Sabrina and her guests. Definitely one I would recommend.
