I enjoyed the characters and their relationships. It portrays people realistically, with a light touch. The book is packed with spritely dialogue, so it's a quick, easy read that just moves along nicely.

There are modern concerns that are maybe a little queasy, like when our heroine's friend needs to use a...breast pump. I'm not a female, and I'm sure it's all completely regular, normal, and accepted, but it's just a bit odd to read about. Maybe this portrayal of an aspect of modern life is also supposed to be humorous?

Anyway, I think most people will enjoy this. It's not a demanding read, and it's witty and enjoyable. It's perfect reading for the beach or the train or the subway car.
