it’s easier to see the beginnings of things, and harder to see the ends

The excerpt sent me immediately to Google the Ashes and Snow exhibit by Gregory Colbert for photograph described as so riveting to the narrator. It set a tone that drew me in enough to want to read the entire book. I like the premise of the 5-person dinner list. The author has an intriguing, artistic style of prose.
