The Dinner List starts out pretty understandably. Sabrina has made a list of five people, living or dead, with whom she'd like to have dinner. I love that the prologue starts when Sabrina is already an hour late and Audrey Hepburn (yep, that Audrey, on the list) is annoyed at having to wait. I'm eager to find out what precipitated the dinner party. Is Sabrina dreaming? Did something happen to her and she's in some kind of afterlife where, through her dinner guests, she reevaluates her life? Is the dinner party actually happening? Like are we talking magical realism? This little snippet has me really intrigued and interested to see how everything plays out.
