I'm not a fan of fantasy-fiction or magical realism - however the premise of this book would be classified - but that said, the exerpt quickly captured my attention. I definitely wanted to keep reading. I was especially drawn to Sabrina's relationship with Tobias although with some apprehension over his fate. After all, the people at the dinner table are living OR dead, and Sabrina and Tobias are no longer together...
