I usually start romance books with a bit of skepticism. They usually follow a well-used and uninspired formula. Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl have a falling out, boy and girl find each other again after a decade and fall back in love for a happily ever after finish.
This story, however, throws in a pretty fun twist. What if the boy and girl were surrounded by 4 other people, however impossible, in a dinner of a lifetime?
While I have only read the first chapter, my guess is that the author leads us down a path of character self-discovery that is both fun and introspective. I definitely want to go down that path with them!
