I really wanted to like this book. I mean, mer-people alone is enough to pique my interest. Then add in the fact that there in a great and interesting history behind HOW they came to be? I didn't just want to like it, I wanted to love it. Unfortunately though, I don't know anything that happened in it. It was really hard to follow the entire time I was reading it. I had no idea what was happening. I gave it quite a good run before I had to DNF the book, meaning I did not finish it.
This book is not a long one at all and having to admit defeat was hard but I just could not do it. I could not finish a book and have absolutely no idea what I had read. Perhaps at another time I will be able to go back to it, pick it up and love it. This just happens to not be that time.
