A story about mermaids that have been water dwelling pregnant African slave woman that were thrown over board by slave owners. This story is very sad and very good. The history and richness of the story brings to life a beautiful story that deserves to get recognition. The author tells a good story about the underworld of the sea. I enjoyed this a lot but it was also a sad story to me. The cover also draws you in because it’s a picture of a mermaid. Everyone loves mermaids and this cover is just so beautiful to me. I hope everyone goes out and reads this very good book that is magical and about so much it’s so good.
