The Deep is a story that takes you to another world, seeing our world through different eyes. It’s a story about embracing your past & striving to never forget who you are and where you come from. The story brings to light the difficult moral ethics of the theory one versus all, and how to embrace this theory without losing yourself along the way. The characters were well developed and makes the reader feel connected to their past a present. As the reader one finds oneself thinking deeply about “what would they do”. Though this book was a quick read of just over 150 pages, it was difficult at times to navigate whether you were reading of the past or the present. Once acclimated the journey was both wondrous and heartfelt.
