My heart breaks for poor Yetu who is the historian and keeper of all memories, good and bad. I don't blame her for wanting to escape that terrible burden placed upon her. Just by reading the first impression of this story my imagination carried me away and under the water to be part of this incredible world those amazingwomen created for themselves after having been enslaved and discarded by their captures. What an incredible story! By the way that cover is beautiful!
