It's unique, that's for sure.
The cover is stunning. I was intrigued by the blurb and interested in reading more.
The first 28 pages are a little confusing. You are piecing together this underwater world with a character that is having a hard time staying in the moment. She is the historian and is often sucked into the past. She seems fragile and confused. I cared for her and was interested in finding out more but the pages go by without enough to answer my questions. I'm sure that would change with the whole book.
I would love to read the rest but I will say that as for "selling" the story, the first 28 pages didn't do a good enough job. There was too much time spend with her confused and trying to prepare for the remembrance and not enough information to catch my interest in the story.
