Rivers Solomon has a way with words. I have never heard of this author before, but I definitely want to read more books. This book was so fascinating in the beginning chapters of this book! The rememberings seem to be such a huge responsibilty for Yetu and I can't wait to read more about her journey as a historian for the wajinru people. The wajinru people have been through so much heartache and terrible traumatic events in there history however none of them can remember anything and only once a year Yetu has the responsibilty of sharing the memories so that the wajinru people can remember who they are and what happened to them. I can't wait to read more of this story!
