After reading An Unkindness of Ghosts, I know Solomon can write! You think you have heard every slave narrative before, but The Deep comes and opens up a whole other world. They continue the "lives" of those cast away into the ocean. I am intrigued by this premise and world that is unlike anything I've heard of before. Before POCs were not in these Sci Fi/Fantasy worlds, but people like Solomon are putting us there and I cannot be happier. Sign me up!
