In my personal opinion, I don't think there is a more important book coming out in the Sff genre this year. It weaves history and beautiful language with fantasy elements to craft a narrative that brings light to stories that are not common in everyday history classes and discussions around race. I also cannot wait to see, since clipping. was involved in writing the novel, if there are lyrics to songs or hymns that are brought up in the Remembrance.
