Damn, can't wait to read this
I've been waiting for more SFF books with black characters, especially in settings as imaginative as an underwater society. I gravitate towards characters like Yetu, characters that are seen as "weaker" or are different from others. Yetu can be said to be aneurotypical and experiences the world differently than others. I like that this characterizes her and is a great way to provide seamless worldbuilding.
