I wasn't sure how I felt at first, but after reading about the history of their origin, it started to make a lot more sense. These mermaids aren't like Ariel or the mermen of Harry Potter, but more like African tribal peoples. I definitely liked the vibe I got from this and think that the Remembering will be really interesting, once you get to that part.
