I absolutely loved this book! Each girl's story was fascinating, so different but each struggling with their own way of finding their place in society. Helen needs to find a way to get her father not to just see her way of thinking, but to just see HER. Olivia absolutely blossomed across these pages, finding herself and her passion, just fully awakening and I was so proud of her. Amy Rose was the most heartbreaking story, but by the end of the book I was so excited for ALL the things happening on her end. Ruby though. Ruby was my girl. Ruby reminded me most of myself, and Ruby's story had me screeching! All the various romances are enough to make your head spin, but it was done so well, woven like a perfect tapestry. The setting and time period were portrayed beautifully, I really felt sucked into the balls and parties and casual strolls through town. You could really feel the turning of a new era, not just politically, but also industrially. The whole book is full of excitement and passion for the future. It was hopeful and exciting, but the ending was such an intense cliffhanger! That mysterious letter, every girl's story hinging right on the edge, about to fall one way or another, ugh, it was so tense and I am crazy excited for the next book!
