I think the premise of it had me expecting more from it. It just didn't quite live up to the potential that it had. I was really intrigued by the world-building and I wish that had taken more of a spotlight throughout the book. I think this could have been a highlight of the book but it wasn't focused on as much. I did really like the main character. The relationships/romances parts of the plot were a little bland. This just felt pretty standard and formulaic as far as plots go in the young adult genre. It wasn't bad by any means, but it also didn't blow me away and is not something I'll probably even remember in a year. I think this one got a lot of hype because of the premise and the issues it was supposed to address. But the follow through didn't live up to readers' expectations and that's why we've heard nothing about this book since its release. Again, it had really great parts to it, but in general it just felt a little lackluster and depthless.
