I am a sucker for historical fiction novels and haven't read one in such a long time~ But since I recently watched Pride and Prejudice, I've been on a historical fiction romance binge. This definitely satisfied my craving. First, the cover is my favorite color and the illustration is so darling.
I loved learning about the two Davenport sisters and their friends. The description and dialogue definitely brought the characters to life and you absolutely felt invested in each storyline. I have to say my favorite character was Amy-Rose, but it was a hard race for first place. Overall, definitely Brigerton vibes but more mellow (in my opinion). And I just learned that it was based on an actual family! I love that!
But there's definitely more to read as this is only the first book in a new series, so I can't wait to revisit the girls and see where their journey takes them next.
