I was somewhat surprisingly drawn into this book about a wealthy black family in Chicago. The characters are interestingly drawn, the dialogue realistic, the descriptions and situations believable. It reminded me a bit of the Bridgerton television series, without all the sex. I definitely would recommend this book to a wide variety of my friends.
