My first impression of this book is that Olivia is a feisty strong character and I already love her. I can already see that she has problems with society based on the color of her skin and it is nice to see that Olivia will not tolerate that kind of behavior from people. I also already really like this book because history never really dwells too heavily on people of color. A lot period shows/movies and some books really show the nice side of the upper class society. It is nice to see a family of color with wealth for a change!
