This opening excerpt of The Davenports manages to deftly juggle the four narrators, giving each a unique voice and effortlessly weaving in their opposing desires. It's a case of everybody wanting what they aren't supposed to have, and I look forward to seeing how they navigate the strain this will undoubtedly put on their relationships.
