The Spin-Off series everyone wanted from the Lux series!
For the most part, I really did enjoy this book. If you've read the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, then you were like me and itching for more of Luc. And boy did Jennifer deliver! We've got a whole spin off series related to Luc coming our way! The writing was amazing, per usual. There weren't any slow times in the book where it drags on and the story line keeps you engaged at all times!
The only downfall I would say this book has to it are the characters themselves. Being that I HAVE read the Lux series there were just too many similarities between Daemon and Katy and Luc and Evie. Luc had his own characteristics when he was staring in the Lux series, and some of those came into this new series, but a lot of how he acted, and how Evie acted, was SO SIMILAR to Daemon and Katy it was hard to read sometimes. I love the Lux series, but I was really hoping this spin off would be like her other series (the Covenant series, the Titan series, the Harbinger series, etc.) or even the other spin off book she has for the Lux series (Obession), where all of her characters have their own personalities and characteristics that make them so amazing and relate-able.
Unfortunately because of this similarity I will probably not read the rest of the series as it comes out. I will need to have not read the Lux series for a while before I'm able to read this series as a whole. But I WILL read it some day because I know that if I don't read it, I will be missing out on some great reading!
