Quick disclaimer: I read this book a few years ago. I've never read and of the authors other books so this was my first impression of her and her writing. For the most part? It was okay. The MC wasn't great but she wasn't bad either, you know? The plot of the story was actually pretty engaging and I admit, I finished the book within 2 or 3 days or something. The writing style was funny and kept me reading, but so did the plot twist later in the book. That gave a real "whoa" moment. The concept of the Lux and how they got to Earth was probably the most interesting part, I have to say. Would I read the next book? Eeh, probably not. Would I read any of the author's other books? Maybe, maybe not. Right after reading it, I thought it was like really, really good. But, looking back after a few years, it wasn't actually wasn't all that. Overall, it was a pretty fun, easy read.
