Pretty good!
3.5 stars
After loving the Lux series, I decided to give The Darkest Star a go.
While I enjoyed Evie, I felt that she was kind of boring and interchangeable with any YA female character. Her banter with Luc was cute, but I kept comparing this book to the Lux series, and I kept finding myself not liking this book as much. The story was kind of slow, and even though stuff happened, it felt like the middle part dragged on a lot. Also, the plot twist was really predictable and I guessed it around page 50.
I did like this book enough this book enough to pick the sequel up when it comes out. Getting to know more about Luc was fun, and I loved the little tidbits when characters from the Lux series were in this book, like Katy and Daemon.
