I really enjoyed my Bookish First preview I was sent of the first seven chapters.
A lot of the fantast books I read deal with the relationships between humans and vampires, humans and aliens, humans and fairies, or something that is easily definable However, I really appreciate that this book (thus far) appears to deal with the relationship between humans and "other" (a not named species) which is a unique take for this genre and definitely adds a clear element of mystery to the book.
The heroine initially comes across to me as a Bella (Twilight) sort of character who is not unique except for her smell, but the story itself still grabbed me as a reader. The mysterious plot lines made me want to read on to find out what we weren't being told about what had already happened.
