I knew from the first impression that this book was going to be addicting. I patiently/impatiently waited to get this arc in the mail and once I did I couldn’t put it down.
Evie and Luc are hot. Every look. Every touch. It meant something. It wasn’t just a filler to put in a book. Evie said she wasn’t observant but I think it might be true to everyone and everything else that isn’t Luc. Their chemistry from the first time they met was charged. It was electrifying.
I love Evie. She’s a strong character and proves to be someone that you don’t want to mess with. I wanted to be friends with her. When she loves, she loves deeply and hardly anyone can shake that bond.
Luc is force to be reckoned with. He comes off as hard and arrogant, which he is, but when it comes to Evie and his family he’s something else.
You don’t have to read the Lux Series to fully enjoy this book but be warned. There are characters that pop up that will leave you confused if you haven’t read the series plus it just enhances the experience of this amazing book!
Jennifer L. Armentrout has outdone herself with The Darkest Star. It was a great PNR with enough twists that kept you coming back for more. I can’t wait for book 2!
