I’ve only read the first book in the previous series, so maybe I’m not the ideal reader for this one, but fortunately this is written in such a way that I was able to mostly grasp the world of the story post-alien invasion and actually, their attempt to assimilate is the part of this that intrigues me most, it’s the main relationship where my feeling are a bit more mixed. I did feel like there’s a decent amount of chemistry there, but the antagonism felt like a bit much at times. As for the cover I do like the color and the stars.
