This book you hook you right from the start
This is one of those books where you pick it up because you've read the other series by the author, only to be completely shocked by what you find inside. I've read works by Jennifer L. Armentrout before, but I've never found myself so sucked in, at least I don't think so. I'm so anxious to see how everything fits together.
The Darkest Star starts with a bang, so to speak. We're introduced to the conflict, plot, and characters all at once. The end result is a thoroughly absorbing introduction. It left me wishing that there was more to this sample, truth be told.
