Super interesting world that I can’t wait to dive back in to.
I’ve only read one JLA book, the very first one in her Lux series, and it’s been a series I’ve been meaning to get back into. The world se created with that series was such an interesting one with the mix of humans and aliens, and I’m going to make it a priority to actually finish out the series this year.
That first book, while there wasn’t anything wholly unique or stellar about it, was one where the writing really buried itself under my skin. The characters were ones I couldn’t stop thinking about, I adored the witty banter between all of them, and I liked the mystery surrounding the Luxen and the associated danger that followed them everywhere they went.
This new spinoff looks like it’s going to have all of the characteristics that made that first Lux Book stand out for me — the witty banter, the dimensional and deep characters, and most importantly, the incredible world building. I’m really excited to dive back in to the world of the Lux and really interested to see where this spinoff takes this world and some of the characters that may have appeared in the previous series.
