First off, I read this author's Lux series a few years ago and although I don't remember it well, I do remember enjoying it. I may have to reread it before this book is released.
While long for a first look, we really get a feel for Evie and Luc's relationship. The story so far is intense and left me wanting to know exactly what happened between Evie and Luc in the past. If this book is anything like Armentrout's Lux series, it's bound to be a thrilling, intense story of filled with drama, romance, intrigue and a healthy dose of swoon worthy aliens. I think this first look shows that the story is headed in exactly that direction.
Cover: the cover is nice, but I don't think it reflects the story at all. If I saw this on the shelf, I would breeze right past it without a second look thinking it was a light, fluffy contemporary ya romance.
