This novel reads as fun and new, there is the classic humans v aliens trope mingled in throughout, BUT there is a refreshing twist on said trope that makes it exciting. It also has that fun scifi element that doesn't read as over done. The Luxen sounds like an exclusive club everyone should want to be a member of.
