I see the author has written a bunch of books, including fantasy, which is what this book is. I love fantasy, so great!
The book is written in the voice of our heroine, who is very much a teenager. I can see that in the future parents will still be drags, even as one has to deal with aliens. And thank heavens people still bake brownies! The future can't be all bad!
(Or maybe it's all an alternate-reality version of the present. I dunno.)
