Oooo so I have to admit this is a bit of a different genre for me. With that said, it was honestly the cover that made me want to try. While most of the first few chapters did not catch my personal attention, the first few paragraphs did. That introduction to the MC's mom stood out to me compared to other books and made me want to keep on reading because while this is not quite my usual read, I like the voice.
