Near the end I found myself frantically flipping the pages to discover the ending!
The Darkest Legacy is, by far, my favorite book in The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken. The books opens with intense action from the the very first page! The story picks up five years after the events of In the Afterlight and centers on seventeen-year-old Suzume "Zu" Kimura, one the main characters (and my favorite character) from the previous books. Zu is a complex character and extremely interesting! In this adventure the Psi kids are faced with new threats, daunting problems and, most excitingly, a new set of characters are introduced (both friend and foe).
The cover of the hardcover version is gorgeous, as is the interior lining paper. At just over 560 pages I felt that the length of the story was appropriate. There were very few lulls in the plot and near the end I found myself frantically flipping the pages to discover the ending. I’m looking forward to reading more tales from the world of the Darkest Minds!
