I would say the actual rating is about 3.5 stars but I'll round up because I enjoyed the characters, new and old. The pros: I liked getting back into this world and seeing what has/has not changed since the last book and I loved seeing Zu grown up and seeing the story through her eyes. It was nice to have a different perspective. I also liked the romance and the relationships as well. The cons: there was a lot of redundancy within the story and I felt like most of the middle was a wild goose chase for filler's sake. The end was wrapped up a bit too quick and tidy as well. Overall, I did enjoy this book, just not as much as the original trilogy.
