This series was a completely new series for me. I had The Darkest Minds on my tbr for awhile, and then when I saw that it was going to be a movie, I began binge reading. I read all three books in the span of a week, and found it hard to put down, not to mention more excited for the movie. That said, when I found out I was lucky enough to get The Darkest Legacy, the moment it arrived in my mailbox, I sat down and read. I didn't put the book down until 3 am.
Bracken has beautiful writing that drags you in, and fall in love with the world she's built and the characters she's handed you. She has a power of being able to set your anxiety on edge the further you go into the darkest legacy. The name is very apt. The further you go, the darker it gets, and you can't escape the clutches of the story once it has a hold of you.
