For those who have been fans of The Darkest Minds series since the beginning, the long-awaited fourth book in the series is now here (and just in time for the movie of the first book). But if you're new to the series, like me, The Darkest Legacy can stand on its own, and for that, I'm grateful.
It was fascinating learning about the world and this new set of characters Alexandra Bracken has created. From what I know, The Darkest Legacy takes place five years after the end of the last book, and the heroine of this new book first showed up in the original series as a child. Now as a teenager, Suzume must deal with the aftermath of the revolution, and all the complexities that come along with it. She is a headstrong, intelligent young woman with a great voice, and I'm glad she was the main character.
