I loved The Darkest Minds trilogy, and I was interested to see how this book would go what with happening five years later and following Suzume.
I was really pleasantly surprised by this book.

The writing was great of course, as I've come to expect from Alexandra Bracken, and the plot was really good as well.
It had pretty great pacing, and I enjoyed the themes it explored. Sometimes when a book is added to a completed series or trilogy later, it doesn't go great, but I was very pleased with this addition.

And though I think this is it for The Darkest Minds world, I still would be interested to go back to it again. I think Alexandra Bracken could find more to explore; though sometimes things are just better left alone.
