As someone who is initially drawn to a book by its cover, I’m sad to say this one didn’t tug at me. Also, I’m just not into the dystopian genre. This story is too dark and too political to pique my interest. I couldn’t get past the feeling that the book had some kind of agenda it was trying to illustrate. With that said, the story, told from a first person point of view, definitely puts the reader in the center of action and has a noteworthy main character. Although this isn’t my cup-o-tea, those who read dystopian novels will likely enjoy this YA series.
